《梦想与现实》由导演小夕在国内首次发起“闪片”概念。该剧延续了世界经典系列短片《Movies vs Life》的恶搞风格，提出“把所有电影‘搞’一遍”，用最新奇、最恶搞的镜头语言，将《古惑仔》《无间道》《蜘蛛侠》等著名影片中的经典桥段进行“现实化”，展现了梦想中电影的完美结局和现实残酷的强烈对比，用短小精悍的段子引发观众共鸣，直接切入笑点。
