《樱桃红》是电视剧《樱桃》的续集，但《樱桃红》具体内容跟之前的故事联系不大，它将是一个全新的催泪故事。讲述的是父母双亡的燕子与弟弟小石头相依为命，跑出家门的姐弟俩被好心人赵老乐收养，却遭到了儿子虎子和儿媳荷花的强烈反对。荷花意外流产，却把责任推给了燕子，不过虎子的重病又把几个人物的命运紧紧联系在一起。
